Sentiments was founded in 2000, and is situated in the beating heart of the north Shropshire market town of Whitchurch, by the famous J.B. Joyce clock in The Bullring. The Oasis Coffee Shop came along seven years later.
In 2013 Trevor and Jayne Griffiths took over as Directors to continue Sentiment's reputation, offering quality cards and gifts at affordable prices. Upstairs our light, airy and modern Oasis Coffee Shop is just the tonic after a hard day's shopping, offering simple but tasty locally sourced food and our famous Full English Breakfast!
Whitchurch is a stones throw from Cheshire and north Wales, and easily commutable from The West and East Midlands. Set in picturesque rolling countryside, with the A41 and A49 running around it, Whitchurch is famous not only for being the oldest continually inhabited town in Shropshire, dating back to 70AD, but also for its notable luminaries, such as Sir John Talbot, whose heart is buried under the porch at St Alkmund's Church, the famous composer Sir Edward German, who was born in the town and is buried at the local cemetery, and the Victorian illustrator Randolph Caldecott. Whitchurch is also home to J.B. Joyce, the oldest established clockmakers in the world, whose timepieces stretch from Chester to Shanghai. In fact, one of their latest creations is right outside of our shop in The Bullring! You can spot Sentiments just behind it to the left!

Whitchurch offers free parking within the shopping area of Green End and High Street, the two major shopping areas of town. Tesco offers free parking, which is a stone's throw from Sentiments, and the rest of the parking facilities are pay and display, but offer such low parking fees, such as 10p for the first two hours, that there is no excuse for you not to wind your way to Sentiments for all your card and gift ideas, and then to unwind with a bite to eat and a freshly roasted cup of coffee in Oasis whilst you don't worry about the parking charges!
